This Large West Virginia state Cutout makes a beautiful piece of WV Wall Art and is a great way to show home state pride! We have been making these states for over 6 years now and they have continuously remained a best seller for us. The size takes up approximately 4sqft of wall space and measures 24.5"T x 21"W and is handcut using a jigsaw.
Our wooden states are all made with individual pieces of wood, nailed & glued to a 3/4" plywood backing and will be approximately 1.5" thick. with a wire hanger on the back to make it easy to level when hanging. Weight will vary depending on the wood density but will be between 5-7 lbs. A stud or wall anchor should be used to hang.
Everything is stained in the same colors, white, French blue, pine, & dark walnut. We then go in and shade all of the edges & seams with the dark walnut. The backs are painted black. After Everything is dry, we apply two coats of indoor/outdoor gloss clear coat for a more finished look but also for the protection it give.
You will be able to hang your new state inside or a covered outside area.
Expect dents, dings, cracks, chips, holes and knots. Each piece is distressed & made to look Farmhouse, beach & Rustic in style. This adds character to our pieces, and makes each one completely unique.
